作者简介： 雷蒙·布力格一九三四年出生于英国伦敦，十五岁时非常喜爱画漫画，进入维因布鲁顿美术学校时专心于插画的学习，老师们认为他是一个靠着脑力画出具有想象又有真实性画面的图。毕业之后，他先是参与插画的工作，经过二、三年后才积极的走入儿童图画书的世界。
如果要在英国儿童文学界，推出一名最具影响力的人，那么，这个头衔非雷蒙·布力格莫属了。布力格擅长将很严肃的主题，用纯熟、有力又充满同情心的方式表达出来。他的画精确美丽，长于用颜色来营造气氛、抒发感情。在1965、1967和1974三年，他的作品都荣获英国儿童文学的最高荣誉——凯特·格林尔威奖（Kate Greenaway），《雪人》在1979年得到波士顿环球号角图画书奖。
