Like many elderly people, Grandpa Joe lives alone. Since he is lonely, Grandpa Joe always tries to start up conversations with people in the neighbourhood. Everyone is tired of listening to Grandpa Joe’s repeated, meaningless talk – everyone except for a little boy who cannot speak. This little boy is a good listener, and has grown very fond of Grandpa Joe. When Grandpa Joe breaks his leg and is taken away, the little boy’s life changes forever.
