We checked this book out of the library and after we returned it my toddler wouldn't stop saying "Peck, Peck, Peck" whenever we were reading books. We ended up buying our own copy. The illustrations are bright and rich, with lots of little details to point out without looking cluttered. The little cut-outs of the peck holes are adorable.


We got this for my son when he was about 2.3 years old, and he just loved it. We're a fan of Cousins' Maisy series, but this one is a great little standalone book with fun holes for little fingers to poke through. It was also a nice way for him to pick up new words, as the book does a good job of picturing various household items and listing them in a fun, engaging way.
